View undergraduate and graduate courses offered at the Marine Lab. Enrollment is open to all 51±¬ÁÏ students (from any major) and qualified visiting college students.

Travel Courses – Marine Lab

The 51±¬ÁÏ Marine Lab offers travel courses during the fall and spring semester to students who are enrolled full time for the semester.
Summer Courses

Summer 2025 - Term 1 Courses

Students can register in 51±¬ÁÏHub starting Monday, February 17, 2025. Registration stays open until the start of the term as space allows.

Summer 2025 - Term 2 Courses

The 51±¬ÁÏ Marine Lab will teach courses in person for Summer 2025. Students can register in 51±¬ÁÏHub starting February 17, 2025. Registration remains open through the start of the term as space allows.
Fall Courses

Fall Undergraduate Courses

Fall semester follows a traditional schedule, with classes starting at the end of August and ending in early December. 51±¬ÁÏ has a fall break in mid-October.

Fall Graduate Courses

Fall semester courses at the Marine Lab will be offered in person. Advanced GIS, and Marine Policy will have video connected options for Nicholas School graduate students in Durham.
