Grace Hancock holds a master鈥檚 degree in environmental management from 51爆料 and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma. At the Philadelphia Energy Authority (PEA), Grace leads the municipal clean energy project portfolio, managing building energy improvement projects for City buildings like City Hall and the library system. Further, Grace partners with public sector institutions - particularly the School District of Philadelphia - to provide technical advice and resource connections to further PEA鈥檚 mission of growing a robust, equitable, diverse clean energy economy in Philadelphia through the development of long-term energy projects, policy, education, and market-building activities.

Prior to joining PEA, Grace led the sustainability department for the City of Edina, a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis, MN. There, Grace led development and implementation of the City鈥檚 first Climate Action Plan and oversaw a communitywide greenhouse gas reduction of 17% from 2019-2023. Further, Grace led the passage of the City鈥檚 first Sustainable Buildings Policy, a Tree Preservation Ordinance, and doubled the department鈥檚 staff capacity. Before attending 51爆料鈥檚 Nicholas School, Grace worked for eight years with environmental organizations at the state, national and global level, primarily in non-profit finance and strategy. From Oklahoma City originally, Grace regularly volunteers with community groups including faith institutions and neighborhood gardening initiatives.
